Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 2026
1. Introduction
Summit Care USA ("we," "us," or "our") is a licensed independent health insurance agency operating in all 50 United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit summitcarehealth.com, request a quote, call us, or otherwise interact with our agency.
By using our website or submitting your information through any form, by phone, or by email, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use our website or submit personal information.
2. Information We Collect
Personal Information
When you request a quote or speak with one of our licensed agents, we may collect personal identifiers such as your name, date of birth, ZIP code, mailing address, phone number, email address, household size, household income range, current insurance status, and the type of coverage you are seeking.
Health Information (HIPAA-Protected)
To provide accurate plan recommendations, we may collect limited personal health information — for example, current prescriptions, treating physicians, ongoing conditions, or whether anyone in your household uses tobacco. This information is treated as Protected Health Information ("PHI") and handled in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ("HIPAA").
Form Submissions
When you complete a form on our website, we receive the values you entered along with metadata such as the time of submission, the page you submitted from, your IP address, your browser type, and your operating system. Form submissions are transmitted via our forms processor and routed to our internal customer service email.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality, to remember your preferences (such as dismissing a notice banner), and to measure aggregate site usage. We may also use third-party analytics such as Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with our content. These analytics tools may set their own cookies; their collection and use are governed by their own privacy policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
Plan Recommendations and Enrollment
We use the information you provide to identify carriers and plans available in your area, prepare quotes, walk you through coverage options, and — if you choose to enroll — submit your application to the carrier(s) you select.
Communication and Follow-Up
We use your contact information to follow up on your quote request, answer your questions, schedule appointments, deliver enrollment paperwork, and provide ongoing service throughout the life of your policy. This includes calls, text messages, and emails as authorized in the TCPA consent you provide when submitting a form.
Compliance, Recordkeeping, and Fraud Prevention
State and federal regulations require us to maintain records of our interactions with prospective and enrolled clients. We use your information to meet those obligations, to detect and prevent fraud, and to respond to lawful requests from regulators or law enforcement.
4. How We Share Your Information
Insurance Carriers
When you choose to apply for a specific plan, we share the information necessary to complete that application with the carrier(s) issuing the plan. Each carrier handles your information under its own privacy practices.
Service Providers Under Contract
We may share information with vendors who help us operate our agency — for example, secure form processors, email service providers, CRM systems, and IT support. These vendors are bound by contract to use your information only to perform services for Summit Care USA and to maintain appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance
We may disclose information when required by law, court order, subpoena, or other lawful process, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Summit Care USA, our clients, or others.
We Do Not Sell Your Information
Summit Care USA does not sell your personal information, your health information, or your contact information to data brokers, lead aggregators, marketing lists, or any other third parties. We do not rent, trade, or auction your data.
5. HIPAA Notice
To the extent we collect Protected Health Information, we comply with HIPAA's Privacy Rule and Security Rule. PHI is accessed only by licensed staff with a legitimate business need, is transmitted using encrypted channels, and is stored in systems with appropriate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards. If you are enrolled in a plan, the issuing carrier will provide its own Notice of Privacy Practices describing how it handles your PHI.
6. Your Rights
Access and Correction
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct inaccuracies. To submit a request, email CustomerService@SummitCareUSA.com.
California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information we hold about you (subject to certain exceptions), and the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
Opt-Out From Communications
You may opt out of marketing communications at any time. To stop text messages, reply STOP to any text from us. To stop emails, click the unsubscribe link in any email or contact us directly. To stop calls, ask our agent to remove you from outreach lists. Note that we may still need to send transactional communications related to policies you have enrolled in.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Web traffic is transmitted over TLS (HTTPS). Access to internal systems is restricted by role and protected by authentication controls. Records are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy or to satisfy legal, regulatory, accounting, or reporting requirements — typically a minimum of seven years for insurance records.
No system is perfectly secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security of personal information transmitted to or from our website.
8. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18 without verified parental or guardian consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will delete the information.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
